Develop Leaders
While attending ReGen 2018 (our bi-annual Evana celebration) I clearly heard God say that if I did not work at leadership development, I failed. When sharing that word with our leadership team, that challenge was quickly heard to be our collective assignment.
Many have stepped into more intentional ministry responsibilities in homes, the marketplace, and a residential chaplaincy. 7 have stepped into credentialed ministry positions in other churches. 1 is credentialed and active in camp ministry. 2 have been credentialed for ministry here at Dayspring for worship and youth, and 2 more are in the credentialing process. We are always asking Holy Spirit to highlight who’s next.
With the help of Church Council we developed an internship plan. Then we developed what we call Second Saturday, designed for developing leaders in two tracks; pastoral ministry, and home/workplace ministry.
